Lego: HW2 Heavy Walker Mechs

HW2-CD1 "Defender"

These two mech designs are part of a collaborative project with and based on an original design by @exo_mocs.

Both are also inspired by mecha anime. Other than that, I took a very conservative approach as it is difficult to maintain a similar scale to the original that is aesthetically pleasing and functional. The original design is probably the best way to build it if one is going for that look at that size.

The HW2-CD series is intended for civil duties. Both have two hardpoints on the back for flight units and/or weapons.

HW2-CD1 “Defender” (dark blue) is designed for law enforcement, rescue and even urban combat. The right arm is equipped with a variable-yield particle cannon, and the left arm has a retractable battering ram and a shield. It has two light anti-grav flight units for CQB maneuverability as well as steady and precise hovering/flight. However, it is limited to low-altitude and short-range flights. Each flight unit is also a low-yield plasma cannon as its power system drives both.

HW2-CD2 “Seraphim” (white) is designed for civil defense, particularly for siege and other defensive scenarios. The right arm is equipped with a variable-yield particle cannon, and the left arm has a storage container for supplies. Both arms have shields. It has two heavy anti-grav flight units which are more designed for load, altitude and range rather than CQB maneuverability.
