Lego MOC: Flying/Hover Vehicles

S100 Sedan

Latest update: 02.Sep.2026

This page contains flying/hover vehicle designs, even if it features wheels. Those in the first gallery are based on existing designs seen in fiction.

Below them are original designs inspired by the likes of the “Spinner” as seen in Blade Runner (1982) and speeders in the Star Wars universe.

P513’s Speeder
Below is a speeder for the bounty hunter known as “P513”. Some suspect that she was a clone experiment gone wrong. Others suspect that she was once a prisoner herself, that she was released on parole in order to hunt down criminals who are difficult to find. Another theory floating around is that she is ex-mil, honorably discharged for “getting the job done but sorta borderlining on being a war criminal so let’s just stop there and not talk about it anymore”.

Apart from being ex-mil, none of the above are true. “P513” actually comes from her having been booted out of some obscure amateur hockey league years ago for earning 513 penalty minutes in one season. At some point after leaving the military, she decided to use her skills to benefit society. And to earn some credits. Conventional law enforcement is too restrictive and has too much corruption, but being a bounty hunter… well, cross-checking doesn’t get her fired and she gets paid.

Her speeder is a single-seater although the rear compartment can carry one passenger, usually someone she doesn’t like but worth a few credits. The vehicle has four independent drive units although it only requires one functioning drive unit to move, albeit at reduced performance. There are four front disruptor cannons and two missile bays, one on each side with a total of four missiles.

S100
Below is a relatively simple sedan with a front and back seat. There is also a rear storage compartment.

McLaron
The below is a F-Zero machine inspired by the Blue Falcon and the real McLaren F1 cars of the early 1990s. It seats one pilot and features 2 rudders and 2 main engines.

M-49
The M-49 is the personal vehicle of Detective Mechanico (character designed by @n3on_nostalgia). The “standard” configuration is inspired by cars from the 1930s but as Detective Mechanico goes racing, the grav-unit and engine modules can be changed. The “racing” configuration is inspired by the typical F-Zero machine, Porsche and LMHs.

Dark Fire
The Dark Fire is the F-Zero machine of Lord Grimsly (character designed by @n3on_nostalgia). It’s a heavily customized machine which means it’s expensive but Grimsly can afford it.

Pizza Speeder
Getting pizza delivered is convenient but it’s much quicker to pick up if you have a fast vehicle. Trust Donnie to come up with something.

The Pizza Speeder is built with all aspects in mind. The chassis is aerodynamically designed for low-drag and cornering stability. The two large main engines give a decent top speed, and the four small engines with better response compensate for acceleration. Placing two on each side also aids agility. And, of course, there is a dedicated space to keep the pizza safe and warm. (Honorable Mention for BFzeroG Theme/Round 3: Superheroes/Villains.)

“Ghost”
The vehicle the paramedics of the F-Zero circuit use is dubbed the “Ghost”. This is partly because of the speed in which it can get to the crash site. The other reason is that due to the speeds of the crashes, the paramedics arriving at the crash site is just a formality.

Nevertheless, these overworked heroes deserve a solid vehicle that can get them where they need to go safely, even if it does not have the best cornering capabilities. There are side compartments for medical equipment and it can fit one patient.

Starpacer
Is it a racer or a starship? Well, no reason why it can’t be both. This quad-nacelle machine can get Harry across the finish line first and then straight home in another star system. Harry doesn’t even bother to stop for the post-race ceremony because he knows that regardless of what position he finishes in, he’s not going to get any trophies, medals or promotions.

Shougekiha
The Shougekiha (“shock wave”) is the vehicle of the vigilante Tsunami (character designed by @n3on_nostalgia). Inspired by submarines, the Shougekiha is in essence an armored hull packed with state-of-the-art grav-units, sensors and control system that allows Tsunami to survive in the harshest environment which he sometimes had a part in making.
